Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Our engineering team is equipped with highly trained and professionally certified aerospace and mechanical engineers driven by integrated project and technical management to deliver unmatched customer solutions. Through our extensive background providing solutions for both Defense and Commercial customers, we have developed an experienced, efficient, and adaptable team of engineers with the necessary skills and capabilities to satisfy a wide scope of customer needs and requirements. Our engineering team is involved throughout all phases of the product lifecycle including requirements definition, concept development, detailed design generation, and Technical Data Package (TDP) development, along with providing support to testing, validation/verification, integration, and production efforts.

Additive Manufacturing

At INTUITIVE, we believe that additive manufacturing applications will redefine the way we manufacture parts in the future. Our engineers create 3D digital models using Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software. Specialized 3D manufacturing equipment uses layering materials (powdered metals, plastics or ceramics, polymer resins, plastic filaments), to deposit or extrude the finished 3D product ready for use. Through additive manufacturing, we offer our customers flexible, fast, and cost-efficient production.

Rapid Prototyping

We are keenly aware of the challenges faced in rapidly fielding highly complex systems and simulators. We have assembled the mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to apply advanced methodologies to create innovative prototypes. These methodologies analyze new and existing electronic and mechanical components and structures for military and commercial configurations. We strongly believe in and encourage a working relationship between engineering and integration teams; thus, we provide onsite engineering support during system integration allowing for rapid turnaround of design changes based on installation variations.

UAS Payload Integration

INTUITIVE’s engineers, test experts, and operational subject matter experts are leading providers of autonomous UAS services to test ranges, research labs, and program offices. Our experts are well versed in designing, building, and testing UAS centric solutions. We can integrate, demonstrate, and test interchangeable payloads, showcasing multiple competencies and applications. Some include: secure, encrypted high bandwidth payload communications, multi-sensor payloads, customer payload solutions, autonomous intelligent navigation, systems engineering and integration, rapid prototyping, and integration and verification.

Radio Frequency System Design & Analysis

Successful military operations and weapon platforms depend on reliable wireless communications. To meet this need, INTUITIVE offers radio frequency (RF) and microwave systems analysis, subsystems development, and prototyping. Our staff of RF engineers are experienced in system and subsystem development from concept creation and requirements definition to simulation, prototyping and test. Technologies and areas of expertise include RF computer-based simulation (Keysight SystemVue), narrowband radio transceivers, low-power radio design, GPS reception/GPS anti-jam, antenna systems, COTS and GOTS component integration, FCC/IC compliance and test, Radar and communication systems design, RF module design, and RF PCB design.

Reverse Engineering

Our engineering team is experienced in the execution of reverse engineering projects including mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural components. As reverse engineering projects are presented, our team will review the candidate items and documentation provided to identify missing data requirements, determine feasibility to reverse engineer (with available data, physical items, and within the allotted schedule), identify testing requirements, and develop a cost-estimate. We follow rigorous but tailorable processes outlined in our AS 91000D certified QMS which has been developed and refined over 20+ years of supporting multiple Army, Navy, Air Force, and other DoD customers with design, engineering, analysis, airworthiness, testing, and sustainment activities.
