Huntsville, AL – December 2011
Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) would like to announce President, Harold (Hal) Brewer was recognized by the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Engineering as one of UAB’s 40 Engineers Making a Difference. The award was presented on November 12, 2011, at the 40th Anniversary Celebration Dinner in Birmingham, AL. The purpose of this award is to recognize graduates of the UAB School of Engineering who have made a significant difference in their community and/or chosen fields and have demonstrated evidence of leadership, innovation and/or entrepreneurship.
After receiving the award Mr. Brewer stated, “I am humbled to receive this award, and honored to be named among this elite group of professionals. I have always considered it a priority to be a positive impact to the community that provided me the tools and skills to succeed and to help others reach their goals. I will always be inspired by others who are willing and able to extend opportunities of greatness to people that deserve it, and hope that I can serve as an example by doing the same.”
A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Mr. Brewer has more than 30 years management experience, including 15 years of support to systems engineering and integration, production and industrial engineering and program management for complex defense systems. In 1999, with long-time friend and fellow entrepreneur, A. R. (Rey) Almodóvar, Mr. Brewer co-founded INTUITIVE, an international level engineering and analysis firm, headquartered in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Brewer as President/Chief Operating Officer manages the firms’ operations implementing innovative management practices concerning personnel, incentives, creativity, and customer-supplier relations. Today INTUITIVE is one of the fastest growing small businesses and nationally recognized as one of the “Great Places to Work”.
An important focus of INTUITIVE is giving back to the community that has supported this growth. This is seen by the numerous charitable and industry organizations the company supports with donations and volunteer efforts. Because the company values education as a primary foundation, it has adopted Rolling Hills Elementary for the past six years, motivating students by annually providing bicycles and gift cards towards incentive programs that raise standardized testing scores. INTUITIVE also donates towards Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound of Madison County, CASA, by purchasing meals that are hand delivered by INTUITIVE employees during the holidays, as well as being a corporate sponsor for their annual fundraising events.
Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE), a Small Business, supplies a wide range of services including programmatic support, systems engineering, product development, production systems support, rapid prototyping, and technology management solutions to the Department of Defense, government agencies, and commercial companies.
