HUNTSVILLE, AL – February 2025 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE®) proudly announces the induction of its first two Technical Fellows, Keith Zook and Ray Kendall, at the company’s Year End Business Review in December. The newly launched Technical Fellowship Program is designed to recognize and celebrate employees who have demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and influence within INTUITIVE and the broader industry.

“We believe in recognizing and celebrating the exceptional technical expertise that drives our success,” said Dr. William Marx, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at INTUITIVE. “Ray and Keith embody the spirit of innovation and leadership that we strive for, and we are honored to induct them as our first Technical Fellows.”

Since joining INTUITIVE in 2018, Keith has been instrumental in shaping the company’s Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) capabilities. With over two decades of MBSE expertise, Keith has played a pivotal role in building a strong customer base and growing the MBSE team. His results-driven approach and leadership have made him a trusted expert on high-impact projects and a valued mentor to emerging engineers.

Keith’s career spans various disciplines, including classical systems engineering, electrical design, test engineering, project, and program management. His contributions have supported multiple government agencies, including the Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Missile Defense Agency, and NASA.

Keith earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Geneva College in 1982 and holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), and Open Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model User and Model Builder Fundamental.

Ray Kendall: Engineering Excellence Across Space and Defense

Image of Intuitive Tech Fellow Ray Kendall.Ray’s career began with NASA’s Space Shuttle program, where he spent 15 years as an electrical design engineer for the Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs). A witness to history, he monitored the first two Shuttle launches from the Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC) at Marshall Space Flight Center. Following the Challenger disaster, Ray led the development of advanced circuit simulation and electrical worst-case analysis techniques, helping recertify the SRB electrical systems.

Transitioning to military programs in the 1990s, Ray’s work at Redstone Arsenal led him to cross paths with INTUITIVE co-founder Harold Brewer. As one of INTUITIVE’s first hires, Ray has spent over 22 years driving technical innovation and solidifying the company’s reputation for solving complex engineering challenges. His expertise in high-reliability electronics and failure analysis has made him a sought-after subject matter expert for critical military programs. Notably, he developed a novel operational amplifier model, published in Electronic Design News (EDN), showcasing his groundbreaking contributions to electrical engineering.

Looking Ahead: A Future of Innovation

The induction of Keith and Ray marks the beginning of INTUITIVE’s Technical Fellowship Program. As the program grows, INTUITIVE remains committed to recognizing and investing in the brightest technical minds within the company.

“We are excited to build on this momentum and continue fostering a culture of excellence and innovation,” said Marx. “Keith and Ray have set a high standard, and we look forward to celebrating more technical leaders in the years to come.”
