FORT WALTON BEACH, FL – October 2018 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House on Tuesday, October 16th to celebrate the grand opening of its new Florida facility in the Fort Walton Beach community. The new office is one of eleven field locations, most of which are in the Southeast.
INTUITIVE supplies a wide range of services including programmatic support; systems, electrical, mechanical, industrial and computer engineering; product development, production systems support, rapid prototyping, and technology management solutions to the Department of Defense, government agencies, and commercial companies.
With 20 years of providing solutions under its belt, this Northeast Florida location affords INTUITIVE the opportunity to further expand its team and broaden its capabilities to better supports its customers. The organization was awarded two large Air Force contracts, which prompted investigation into a more permanent presence.
With support from the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, the event included remarks provided by Timothy Mango, INTUITIVE Senior Vice President of Florida Operations, and Vergenia Shelton, INTUITIVE President. Nathan Nelson, Director of Military Affairs, Office of Congressman Matt Gaetz, was there on behalf of Congressman Gaetz.

INTUITIVE was recently awarded the Eglin Range of Gulf of Mexico Underwater Fiber Installation Design Task Order. This task was awarded under U.S. Air Force Test and Evaluation Technologies for Ranges, Armaments, and Spectrum (TETRAS) contract and is valued at $3.9 million. Through this task order, INTUITIVE and its team will support the 96th Test Wing in their efforts to expand their current network for data transport and communications.
INTUITIVE will evaluate the current network and provide analysis to determine the most efficient, cost effective methods to meet industry standards and improve data transmissions for test missions. The goal of this task is to extend and improve data transport and communication networks from Eglin Air Force Base to Anclote Key and down to the Keys with the extension into Venice, Florida.
