HUNTSVILLE, AL – August 2026 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE ®), a professional engineering and systems integration firm, is proud to announce it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 following an independent assessment by an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO).
The certification validates INTUITIVE’s implementation of the cybersecurity practices required to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and reinforces the company’s readiness to securely support current and future national defense programs and missions.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, protecting sensitive information across the Defense Industrial Base has become increasingly important to national security. CMMC was established to provide a consistent, independently validated standard for ensuring contractors and subcontractors have appropriate safeguards in place to protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and CUI.
CMMC Level 2 applies to organizations that handle CUI and incorporates 110 security requirements aligned with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-171. Achieving certification through a C3PAO assessment demonstrates that an organization has implemented the required cybersecurity practices within its assessed environment and can effectively protect sensitive government information.
