HUNTSVILLE, AL – April 2018 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy (Tim) Mango as its Senior Vice President of Florida Operations. In this role, Mango is responsible for INTUITIVE’s operational and business development activities in Florida. His responsibilities include profit and loss accountability, operational management, and new business development focused on the government, space, missile, and aviation organizations. Mango will manage business activities at the company’s Florida campus, INTUITIVE South, which is set to open in the fall of this year.
“The decision to expand INTUITIVE’s presence in the Florida market was a logical step in our business strategy after winning two prime contracts with the Air Force,” said Mango. “The area is rich with diverse talent from prestigious colleges and universities, as well as military persons transitioning into the workforce. This affords us the opportunity to further expand our team and broaden our capabilities to better support our Government customers, particularly in the areas of software engineering, design and integration, and testing. We are excited about collocating with our client to provide our expertise and facilities in Florida.”
Mango joined the INTUITIVE executive team in February 2018. He brings to this position 13 years of experience in the Defense Contracting industry. Prior to joining INTUITIVE, he held several leadership positions where he was responsible for business development, government relations, and expansion of services. Before joining the private sector, Mango served in the U.S. Army for 23 years. He held multiple technical and tactical assignments in both the Aviation and Space Operation Commands. His final role was at Space and Missile Defense Command as the Director of the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll Directorate. He has held joint assignments with the Navy and Interagency, in addition to multiple tactical Army Aviation positions in the U.S. and overseas.
Mango holds a Masters of Business Administration from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He has logged in excess of 1,500 flight hours in UH-1, OH-58, and UH-60 aircrafts. He is a graduate of the Army’s Maintenance Test Pilot Course and of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
