HUNTSVILLE, AL – March 2023 – The Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) recently selected Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE®) as the prime contractor of the Production and Sustainment Engineering technical task order.
The five-year contract specifies support for DEVCOM AvMC’s Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD). The SRD provides critical life-cycle engineering support that helps assure airworthy, ready, and sustainable Army aircraft and missile systems. Through this task, INTUITIVE will support technical data management and obsolescence management efforts—providing centralized planning, direction, execution, policy, and control of AvMC’s standardization, technical data, and obsolescence management.
The Production and Sustainment Engineering Services vision is to enhance the Army’s production and sustainment posture through disciplined application of best practices, processes, and procedures in conjunction with integrated technological advancements and innovation. INTUITIVE will bring this vision to life by integrating and leveraging lessons learned and advancements in Manufacturing Sciences and Technologies, Technical Data Management, and Obsolescence Management disciplines utilizing the application of leading-edge functional capabilities and subject matter expertise to system engineering design production and sustainment activities.

Utilizing a holistic approach, INTUITIVE Subject Matter Experts (SME) will also provide Obsolescence Management support to enhance system availability and operational readiness. Activities will include, but not limited to, production and sustainment engineering services, manufacturing science and technology, research and development projects, obsolescence management and analysis, configuration management, drafting and modeling services, intellectual property management, standardization, and data management.
