HUNTSVILLE, AL – March 2017 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) is proud to announce its CEO, A.R. (Rey) Almodóvar, was recently honored with the Robert F. Cocklin Award presented by the Association of the U.S. Army’s Third Region. Mr. Almodóvar is being recognized for his lifetime of support to the U.S. Army, his leadership in support of Veterans, and his patronage of the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of AUSA. The award was presented during the 2017 Robert F. Cocklin Award Dinner held at the Ledges Country Club on Saturday, March 11th, 2017.
As CEO of INTUITIVE, Rey leads an organization that has been named a top Best for Vets employer in the country for the past five years. His leadership has helped establish, build, and sustain a company that is rivaled by none in terms of hiring, developing, and taking care of vets, which includes the Guard and Reserve. The incredibly long list of efforts and accomplishments by INTUITIVE and by individual INTUITIVE employees is a natural result of such leadership and focus from the top.
The structure of the company itself provides exceptional internal support to veterans and Reservists in its design, flexibility, benefits, and more. This solid foundation was laid by Rey, along with his business partner, Harold Brewer, from day one, and is actively bolstered and nurtured to this day. Rey’s heart for our veterans is additionally spurred by his having a son who has served our country. Actions that take place throughout the company daily speak to his leadership.
In addition to the Cocklin Award, Rey was also awarded the Seven Seals Award presented by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The Seven Seals Award recognizes significant individual or organizational achievements that promote and support the ESGR mission. INTUITIVE’s Human Resource representative, Jennifer Veal, was also presented the Seven Seals Award at the dinner.
ABOUT THE ROBERT F. COCKLIN AWARD:
In 1989, AUSA’s Third Region established the Robert F. Cocklin award to recognize annually an individual who has made significant contributions to the United States Army and our Country. The award is named in honor of Major General (Retired) Robert F. Cocklin, former Director of Public Affairs and President of the Association of the United States Army for more than thirty years. Major General Cocklin passed away in January 1996.
