As Vice President, Jeff Souder serves as a senior strategic advisor, leveraging four decades of experience in Space and Missile Defense to guide the company’s continued growth in this mission-critical domain. Known for his deep operational insight and innovative problem-solving, Mr. Souder plays a pivotal role in shaping INTUITIVE’s technical direction and strategic positioning in support of national defense priorities and evolving defense initiatives. He champions cross-functional collaboration and key pursuits that align with the company’s long-term vision for integrated air and missile defense.
Throughout his military service, Mr. Souder held critical leadership roles including assignments with NATO in the Army’s first Patriot battalion, and deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom with U.S. Special Forces and Marine units. He led the transition of advanced technologies to U.S. and Allied Special Operations commands and was chartered as the Product Manager for both Directed Energy Applications and the JLENS program within PEO Missiles and Space.
He later served as Director of the Air and Missile Defense Battle Lab at Fort Bliss before returning to Redstone Arsenal to lead the European BMDS Capability Project Office at the Missile Defense Agency—overseeing the establishment of missile defense sites in Romania, Poland, Israel, Japan, and beyond.
Mr. Souder’s accolades include being named the Army’s Product Manager of the Year (2007), leading the MDA PM Team of the Year (2010), and receiving both the Department of Defense Superior Service Medal and the Department of State Superior Honor Award.
In 2011, Mr. Souder concluded his 25-year Army career and joined INTUITIVE where he has held leadership roles including Senior Program Analyst and Division Manager, supporting key customers such as PEO Missiles and Space, MDA, and the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO).
A proud native of Pennsylvania, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Florida Tech, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
