ORLANDO, FL – February 2023 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE®), a professional engineering and analysis firm, recently opened a new office in Orlando, Florida to better support its customers and establish a foundation for collaboration across Central Florida. While Orlando lacks the large military bases present at INTUITIVE’s Huntsville and Panhandle offices, this new location will focus on the office’s easy access to customer endeavors originating from Naval Support Activity Orlando, ecosystem activities at the Central Florida Tech Grove, and broader government and commercial activities across Central Florida.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held on Thursday, February 9th to celebrate the new office in Central Florida Research Park’s Research Commons facility. The event included remarks provided by Mayor Jerry L. Demings, Mayor of Orange County, Harold Brewer, INTUITIVE Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, and Tim Hill, INTUITIVE’s Director of Central Florida Operations. Other special guests in attendance were Commissioner Emily Bonilla, County Commissioner of Orange County District 5, and Tim Mango, Executive Vice President of INTUITIVE. The office is one of six corporate offices and 22 field locations, most of which are in the Southeast. INTUITIVE is headquartered in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, Alabama. This is INTUITIVE’s fourth office in the Sunshine State and will serve as INTUITIVE’s launch pad across the entire I-4 corridor.
“I am thrilled when new companies move in. What that means to our community is that you’re willing to invest—you see something great about what is happening here in Orange County, said County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “We endeavor to make Orange County, in the words of Walt Disney, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow—the EPCOT of the world. We cannot make it the EPCOT of the world without investments in innovation and technology. On behalf of my family and this community, thank you (INTUITIVE) for investing in this community and for believing in Orange County. Welcome to Orlando.”
Harold Brewer, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board at INTUITIVE commented, “We are excited to plant our flag in Orlando. The city is rich with diverse talent and opportunities. Orlando was the next logical step in our growth strategy, and we look forward to building new relationships and making an impact here.”
INTUITIVE brings its full breadth of engineering capabilities to bear by solving hard problems for the adjacent modeling, simulation, and training community. Additionally, this office provides support to other customers and partners in places such as downtown Orlando, Lake Nona, the Florida Space Coast, and the Tampa Bay area working in fields such as digital engineering, cybersecurity, medical, space, and special operations.
“Though our current footprint in Orlando is small, INTUITIVE’s long history and expertise in solving hard problems is an asset to the local tech community,” said Tim Hill, Director of Operations for INTUITIVE in Orlando and former U.S. Navy captain and commanding officer of Naval Air Warfare Center Training Division and Naval Support Activity Orlando. “Team Orlando commands, Central Florida Tech Grove, and the community at large now has easy access to INTUITIVE’s innovative technologies and brilliant minds. I am proud to lead INTUITIVE’s Central Florida team and I am excited for what is to come.”
